Connect. Learn. Community.
Join fellow evaluators at Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) for an evening of facilitated conversation and drinks! Let's get at the nitty-gritty of evaluation work. We will break into small groups to share expertise around specific, current evaluation projects. Bring a current project you'd like to workshop or come ready to learn and advise colleagues. We'll use a "pro action café" approach to spark meaningful conversations to capture ideas and knowledge from each other that we can put into practice.
Facilitators for this event are Katharine Wood from MN Historical Society, Kara Wentworth from Twin Cities Public Television, Ana Isabel Gabilondo Scholz from the Center for Prevention at Blue Cross Blue Shield of MN, and Sarah Lindeman from Neighborhood House.
We hope you can join us in strengthening our community of practice through this fun exchange of evaluation projects, ideas and knowledge.
MNEA thanks Twin Cities PBS (TPT) for hosting this event. Light refreshments & alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Happy hour and networking will begin at 4:30 p.m., followed by the round table discussions starting at 5:00 p.m. You can learn more about TPT by attending a special MNEA tour at 3:45 p.m. (Eric Eskola and Cathy Wurzer here we come)!
As evaluators we continuously enhance our practice using AEA’s Evaluator Competencies as our guide. Our intent is for participants to develop and apply the following competencies at this event: reflect on evaluation formally or informally to improve practice (1.5), respond respectfully to the uniqueness of the evaluation context (3.1), listen to understand and engage different perspectives (5.2), and facilitate constructive and culturally responsive interaction throughout the evaluation (5.7).
