Evaluating Education: A Roundtable Discussion

How does evaluation intersect with education policy? What challenges do we face when evaluating education in schools?

Join us as we share experiences and learn from each other about conducting evaluation in the education field. You will have the opportunity to select from topics including evaluating the achievement gap, informal education programs, and early education settings. Each table discussion will be led by an expert in that area, including:

• Johnna Rohmer-Hirt, Director of Research, Evaluation and Testing at Anoka-Hennepin Schools.
  
• Amy Grack Nelson, Evaluation and Research Manager at the Science Museum of Minnesota.
  
• Dr. Karen Storm, Research Associate at the Center for Early Education and Development, University of Minnesota.
  
• Ann Bailey, Research Fellow at the Center for Early Education and Development, University of Minnesota.
  

We hope to hear about your experiences, challenges, and triumphs, and get a lively discussion going! There will be time to network before and after the roundtable sessions. A light lunch will be provided.
