Project management is one of the drafted competencies proposed by the AEA Task Force, though it is rarely a skill that has been formally taught to practicing evaluators. Please join the Minnesota Evaluation Association’s Board members (Melissa Chapman Haynes, President-Elect and Veronica Deenanath, Treasurer) for an event focused on exploring project management for evaluators. This will be a semi-structured event that will involve some formal sharing and some time to network and socialize. Attendees can expect to leave with some concrete tools, tips, and tricks for incorporating project management techniques to their practice.
Location: Open Book, 1011 Washington Avenue South, Minneapolis 55415
Parking: Free parking is first come, first served in the Open Book lot on the east side of the building. Other options include meters along 10th, 11th, and Washington Avenues and 3rd Street South; the Riverfront Municipal Ramp (212 9th Avenue South); and the Mill Quarter Ramp (711 2nd Street South).
Accessibility: Open Book is fully accessible with handicap parking, handicap accessible bathrooms, elevators to all floors, and other services available as requested. Please contact Open Book if you have any questions regarding accessibility.
Date: Thursday, September 21, 2017, 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Format: This is a semi-structured event. Please feel free to arrive as you are available and stay for the entire event, or just stop in briefly to say hello. We will start with informal socializing and networking from 4:30 – 5:30, with a more formal skill building session beginning at 5:30 pm. Participants will leave with concrete tools to implement in their own evaluation practice.
